Christine Brennan is a policy advisor and science communication professional who specialises in helping researchers tell their impact story. Since 2014, Christine has been focused on developing a research impact programme at the University of Limerick which is embedded within the organisational strategy. The UL Research Impact programme www.ul.ie/researchimpact includes case study development, training across all career stages and a communications strategy involving a popular podcast series. With an interest in public-policy evaluation she is particularly passionate about the need to effectively measure and communicate the outcomes of investments in research with a view to a better informed government and public on the importance of excellence research. UL’s Research Impact programme has been singled out by the OECD as “an excellent example of emerging good practice which could be mainstreamed across the Irish Higher Education system and abroad” (OECD, 2017 p.95)
In her spare time, Christine also runs children’s writing workshops and is working to prepare the next generation of communicators.
