This session is a case study discussion with Sarah Morton of Matter of Focus and two researchers, one in the UK and one in Australia, who have recently used a tool called OutNav to track and evaluate their impact.
We start with an introduction from Sarah, who walks us through the process of using this tool before turning to the case examples. The case studies offer two unique perspectives; one from the Senior Research Officer at Wales Centre for Public Policy and the other from the Young and Resilient Research Centre at Western Sydney University.
We discuss how they each used the process, what they found to be useful and challenges they had along the way. Finally, we wrap up the discussion with some overarching insights of the common challenges in mapping out the impact for evaluation and the recommendations to overcome them.
