Your ticket will help feed an adult koala patient as they are treated at the Australia Zoo Wildlife Hospital. Each koala receives 3 decent-sized eucalyptus branches per day, and this could equate to hundreds leaves each day. As koalas are particularly fussy in regards to diet, they will only eat species of leaves particular to their own habitat. Hence, leaf collection is a very complex and expensive process. As Australia’s busiest koala hospital, the Australia Zoo Wildlife Hospital treats up to 800 koalas from Queensland and northern New South Wales each year.
