Hi! Let me introduce myself – my name is Aurelija Povilaike, and I am Professional at the Interface of Science (PIoS). What does it mean? Well, it’s a term developed by Portuguese research managers meaning that I am a professional with overlapping skills and experience in research management (in the broader sense).
For nearly 15 years I have been living in the UK and had an opportunity to work at the UK universities ( University for the Creative Arts, University of Kent and Queen Mary University of London).
In all my UK based roles (the most recent being Head of Research Development) I have been adding value to the research culture and environment, supporting researchers and the institutions in developing and delivering on their research strategy. The research impact was an integral part in building stronger research culture (developing pathways to impact for Research Council applications, overseeing impact case studies preparation for REF, training on impact).
Well, that was a past, and now for the last 7 months I have been living in Lithuania and working as National Contact Point (NCP) for Lithuanian Research Council. One of my personal missions is to develop Impact Agenda in Lithuania, which is at its infancy, and support the research culture change!
If you want to get find out how am I getting on – do get in touch.
