Dr. Beverley Sherbon
With almost 15 years of experience in research policy and management, Dr Beverley Sherbon was formerly Evaluation Programme Manager for the Medical Research Council in the UK, where she was responsible for managing their evaluation portfolio. Beverley has a wealth of knowledge in reporting to stakeholders on research progress, productivity and impact, and also funding and commissioning research into Research on Research, particularly impact methodology. She was also instrumental in cross council projects to align the outcomes reporting process across all of the Research Councils in the UK (now UK Research and Innovation), this included both the data collected and metrics used to report to stakeholders.
Following her time working at a funding organisation, Beverley moved ‘to the dark side’ and for the last 4 years has held the role of Impact & Evaluation Adviser at Interfolio UK (Researchfish). She looks after everything to do with the customers, so has a central role in helping organisations to get the best possible value from their use of the Researchfish system. Currently Beverley and her team are setting up their new Customer Success Programme to further ensure the success of organisations using Researchfish and assisting them in using the information they collect to fulfil their business need, whether this is for use in communication, strategic reporting, impact assessment, policy development and so on.
Beverley also maintains a personal interest in Research on Research, and is involved in a number of exciting projects in the area.
