Dr Fiona Larner
Speaker Bio:
Dr Fiona Larner is the Head of Monitoring and Evaluation at The British Academy, the UK's National Academy for humanities and social science. Fiona spends a lot of time trying to decide which puppy to get next, how much hot water should really be added in an americano, and whether she can justify buying another book given the number that are unread on her bookshelf. To finance her addiction to dogs, books and coffee, Fiona focuses on evaluation and impact in the publicly funded research and development sector, with expertise in research infrastructure, talent, STEM and SHAPE evidence base development. Her passion is ensuring evaluations actively support public sector decision making to maximise impact through whole ecosystem understanding. Alongside her role at The British Academy, Fiona is Vice Chair of the UK Evaluation Society.
