Research Impact Officer
Trinity Long Room Hub Arts and Humanities Research Institute, Trinity College Dublin, Ireland
Speaker Bio: Dr Giovanna Lima is Trinity College Dublin’s first Research Impact Officer, based in the Trinity Long Room Hub Arts and Humanities Institute in a pilot co-founded with the Office of the Dean of Research. She supports and inspires the Trinity Long Room Hub and its affiliated researchers in 20+ disciplines to achieve their ambitions and maximise their impact. She is passionate about sharing her experiences! Some learnings from the pilot have just been shared in the Researcher Impact Framework (https://doi.org/10.25546/98474), co-authored with Sarah Bowman, focusing on how researchers can build audience-focused evidence-based impact narratives. Giovanna holds a PhD and Master’s in Public Administration and Government by Fundação Getulio Vargas in São Paulo, Brazil. Before joining Trinity, she was working at The Economist Intelligence Unit (now Economist Impact). Since moving from Brazil to Ireland she has taken up golfing, so any tips on improving her handicap are most welcomed!
